LeeAnna Hazel is a concert pianist with over 30 years teaching experience. She attended University of Massachusetts at Lowell, and studied composition at Berklee College of Music. She studied with renown pianist Lily Dumont for many years and participates in yearly masterclasses and reunion concerts with Ms. Dumont's devoted students. Prior to Ms. Dumont, LeeAnna was the student of Dragana Bajalovic.
She's been a member of community orchestras, assisted as accompanist for instrumentalists, vocalists and school choruses, and has held posts as organist, pianist and music director for area churches. She has programmed and performed in numerous chamber music concerts since the 1980's. As a composer, LeeAnna had commissioned work featured at contemporary music festivals, and her music has been presented in universities and other concert venues.
Brought up in a musical family, she grew up hearing stories about her great-grandmother who played piano for silent movies. LeeAnna dedicates her time and talents to passing on the traditions and sharing the love of music through the art of the piano.
